DIGITAL FORGE
Digital Forge is a project aimed at demonstrating that it is possible to bring forging operations back to our region while remaining competitive with the “low-cost” countries where such operations are currently carried out.
To that end, five partners in the region have decided to work together to digitize the processes involved in a pilot line for precision forging and machining of aircraft engine blades.
Once the demonstration is complete, we will be able, among other things, to invest in a mass-production line capable of producing more than 700,000 units per year.
The consortium members are: Industrie & Développement SA (iD), Rovitech, SmartYou, Pepite, and Safran Blades.
